Julie Blade, Training Manager, Remedy Corporation - "Some of the key attributes we sought when considering technical instructor candidates for positions were the ability to project themselves well, to convey technical concepts in a meaningful manner, and to truly relate to (communicate with) their students. 

All that being said, even the best technical instructors tend toward a more didactic form of classroom instruction. We found that the students who attended the Tech Trainer's Advantage workshop learned a great deal about how to draw students out more skillfully rather than merely responding to their questions. 

The course taught them how to set the stage, how to read the dynamics and respond accordingly, how to ask students questions that made them think, answer their own questions, and better understand how what they were learning could be applied back on the job. 

The instructors also learned how to create examples (often seemingly unrelated to the subject at hand) to convey a concept and really drive points home. Every technical instructor I sent to the Tech Trainer's Advantage came away from the workshop feeling that, although they felt they were really strong presenters going into the workshop, they left it having learned a myriad of things they had never considered before.

Customer learning soared, which was reflected in their satisfaction ratings for the courses they took. As a result, even during this down-turned economy, many of the students returned to Peregrine (formerly Remedy) for additional courses as they felt that what they were learning by coming to class was going to pay off for them many times over back on the job."

Kurt Specht, Director, Professional Services, CNET Corporation - Eli and I conducted our first course in Germany at one of our big customers. We had 15 and 10 people for 3 days. The courses went pretty smooth and successfully. We got very good rankings in our feedback forms. We were able to apply most of what we had learned in your classes. I did the first day and only needed 5 slides - unbelievable compared to how many slides I would have used if I had delivered the course before taking your classes. 

Some things were possible only because we had taken your class such as analogies (e.g. using a US-Mailbox for explaining a ftp data exchange process) and activities (using labeled LEGOs to have the attendees put together parts of a technical datasheet - this way they could learn what CNET Channel actually does). 

Using the things we have learned really allows you to get on top of the class and control them the way you want and really teach instead of presenting. Thanks again for a great training that helped us to improve the level of professionalism in our Services organization.
