At
Abbott Communications, we specialize in Train the Trainer workshops for subject
matter experts from any industry.
We teach how to do formal stand-up training as
well as how to do one-on-one and on-the-job training.
We coach trainers, speakers and executives in a one-on-one format to
use more effective training, presentation and communication skills. Private
classes are taught on site at your company location. We train internationally.
Public classes are taught in the San Francisco Bay area close to three
major airports.

Trainer’s Advantage™
- is offered as a
4-day, 3-day, 2-day or 1-day Train the Trainer workshop. It is an
intensive, hands-on workshop that will instruct you in the use of practical
techniques for creative training delivery. Your participation in this
workshop will build your confidence and teach you how to teach information
clearly. You will learn, how to facilitate discussions, direct activities,
manage the training session and acquire many other skills to help you train
effectively. You will have an opportunity to practice teaching and receive a
videotape of your presentation (no video-tape in 1-day). You will leave with new ideas on how to
"spice up" your classes as well as reinforce the skills that will
make you feel masterful in the classroom. Your students will understand the
information and be able to apply it to their jobs.

*The Tech Trainer’s Advantage™
- Is The Trainer's
Advantage™ workshop with an additional
module on technical training. For example: What do you do if the computers go
down or the other equipment doesn't work? How
do you make technical training come alive? What is the best room layout?

The Advanced
Trainer’s
Advantage™
- is a two-day course addressing some of the needs of
the experienced trainer. How do you handle burnout? How do you prepare the
equipment for class? How do you handle class management problems that are
specific to your company? The student will teach a half- hour class with
their "real" material and get video and instructor feedback.

One-on-one coaching for
Trainers
- is a private or group train the trainer coaching session that is specific to the
needs of the individuals. We will observe the trainer training
a "real" class and give feedback based on techniques from The
Trainer’s Advantage™ class. This session works before or after the
formal Train the Trainer class.

*The Global
Trainer's Advantage™
- is
a competencies workshop for people who will be teaching
internationally. We also teach 1-day region specific classes for the
following regions: Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa. Pre-requisite:
2-day The Trainer's Advantage™ workshop.

Executive
Life Coaching - is a private coaching session for executives who need to refine
their communication skills to communicate more effectively whether with their
employees, peers or senior management. As a result of this coaching many of our clients have been promoted to
Director, Vice President, CFO, CIO or CEO of their
companies.

The Speaker's Advantage™
- Whether
you are a trainer, a subject matter expert or an executive presenting your expertise,
you need to look professional and sound organized so you get your message
across. We do presentation skills coaching to help you refine your presentation skills.
