Hi fellow club members,
Many of you wonder where
I’ve been lately. The answer...sharpening my saw!
Recently I took a two day class with former NSA'er Katherine Abbott, whose
Abbott Communications helps presenters strengthen their training skills.
I took her “The Tech Trainers Advantage” class and found it incredibly valuable.
Since for many of us it’s as much about training as speaking and keynotes,
I’d like to encourage you to consider attending this course.
I regarded it as an investment in my professionalism.
Katherine uses a combination of teaching, interactivity, video and even a dash
of magic, all the while covering a ton of material: how to set up the room,
structure the day, handle questions and lots of room management stuff. It
was really well done.

This class has given me far more
confidence as a trainer, and shown me many specific ways I can improve. I’ve
already implemented some of the new ideas I’ve learned and have gotten
wonderful feedback from people who were impressed by my new command and
fluidity(!).
