Course Description

This two-day train-the-trainer course is an intensive hands-on workshop that will offer you practical techniques for creative training delivery whether you are teaching in a formal stand up setting or in an informal one-on-one setting.

Goals - What is the objective?

Learn basic training skills which enable you to train your subject more effectively. Deliver training where your participants really learn the material, improving their area of expertise and the effectiveness of their job performance.

Training Content - You will learn how to

	Have several opportunities to practice teach and receive a critique and videotape of your training session.
	Introduce and creatively explain a concept that is considered to be difficult, technical, or boring.
	Facilitate class discussion and interaction, deliver clear instructions, and give demonstrations.
	Develop review exercises and evaluate the effectiveness of your instruction.
	Receive tips on managing your students, the classroom, and equipment.
	Learn the fundamentals of classroom preparation, setting the learning environment, and structuring your curriculum.

Instructor

Katherine Abbott is an award winning trainer and speaker. She developed The Trainer’s Advantage^™ based on 25 years of practical teaching experience in the software industry and higher education. She and her trainers have been training trainers and speakers for 10 years.

Location and time

	The course is conducted at an excellent learning center in California's San Francisco Bay area
	Close to San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose airports
	Detailed hotel and transportation information will be provided upon registration
	Training days run from 8:30am - 5:00pm
	Open programs are 1-day
	Private programs may run 1-2 or 3 days depending on the needs of the client
